The start of Autumn often means that winter is fast approaching and as we put away our swimsuits and sunblock, a new season of entertainment emerges. Ever since streaming platforms became a thing, binge-watching our favourite series on a Friday night became a sought-after pastime and with the Autumn season up and running, here are some series & movies you could watch this weekend!
The Crown (Netflix)
It goes without saying that the death of Queen Elizabeth cause a global rise in interest in the royal family and no series felt the effects of that more than The Crown. Surging in popularity on Netflix over the past few days, The Crown started back in 2016, seeking to document the Queen’s reign. With the series’ fifth season coming to Netflix very soon, now would be a good time to check it out.
Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story (Netflix)
Claimed to be ‘almost unwatchable’ by critics for its unsettling visual and narrative, star producer Ryan Murphy’s latest work has finally landed on Netflix. The series is a biopic of Jeffrey Dahmer, the man who killed (and sometimes even ate) 17 victims between the ’70s and ’90s. With little-to-no fanfare in its rollout, this serial killer story may have flew past your radar but if you’re into to the dark & gritty, this one’s for you.
