Valletta FC have announced plans to celebrate their return to the top tier of Maltese football in grand style following their upcoming clash with Marsa FC.

In a statement, Club President Claudio Grech shared his excitement, saying: “As expected, emotions are running high as the Club prepares for what promises to be one of the most memorable days in our history. Saturday marks the end of a season filled with both triumphs and challenges that tested everyone involved. But those very challenges made us stronger—and Saturday will prove just that.”

Grech also reflected on last year’s shock relegation, which pushed the club to undergo a major transformation on an organisational, logistical, and financial level.

Fans across Malta and Gozo can expect a full day of celebration. Festivities kick off at 14:30 at the Ta’ Qali National Stadium with pre-match family entertainment, followed by the match against Marsa FC at 15:30. The celebrations will then move to Republic Street in Valletta from 19:00, where supporters will continue the party in true Valletta FC style.

Malta Chamber Welcomes Malta Vision 2050 As A Vital Step Towards A Unified And Sustainable Future

Apr 11 2025 Share

The Malta Chamber of Commerce,  welcomed the launch of Malta Vision 2050, describing it as a much-needed and encouraging step forward in shaping a unified, long-term strategy for the country.

The Chamber expressed satisfaction that several of its recommendations had been incorporated, particularly the integration of various fragmented ministerial strategies into one cohesive vision.

A notable achievement of Malta Vision 2050 was its shift away from focusing solely on GDP, instead placing equal importance on improving the quality of life for Malta’s citizens. The vision set measurable long-term targets, breaking free from the constraints of short electoral cycles.

The Chamber emphasised the need for effective implementation, strong budgetary support, and leadership across both domestic and international roles.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and regular progress monitoring through the Malta Council for Economic and Social Development (MCESD) were deemed essential to ensure the plan stayed on track.

The Malta Chamber remains committed to working with Government and all stakeholders to ensure that the Malta Vision 2050 achieves its objectives.
