Heritage Malta is hosting an engaging day of exploration on April 7th, inviting visitors to delve into the captivating world of Roman Malta at the Domvs Romana in Rabat, discover the remarkable collections at the National Museum of Natural History in Mdina as well as St Paul’s Catacombs, all open to the public for free.

The Domvs Romana provides a fascinating insight into the private lives of ancient Roman aristocracy through its well-preserved mosaics and artefacts, offering a glimpse into family dynamics, fashion, education, entertainment, and culinary practices of the era.

Notable exhibits include marble statues depicting Emperor Claudius and his family.

Meanwhile, the National Museum of Natural History, situated within the impressive Vilhena Palace, offers an immersive journey through the natural world, showcasing remarkable specimens such as a mummified Nile crocodile and the fossilized remains of prehistoric creatures found in Malta’s rocks.

St Paul’s Catacombs, on their part, are some of the most prominent features of Malta’s early Christian archeology, dating from the third to the eighth centuries CE.

The event will feature various family-friendly activities, information stands about Heritage Malta memberships, and book stalls. All attending children will receive a small gift.

Admission is free for all, with no pre-booking required, and the sites will be open from 09:00 to 17:00.

She called the Maltese her little arsenal, which 15 forming part of the cabinet of 40.

Metsola explains how the Maltese train her in the same way she trains them, with a six month rotation of University and High School students who shadow her during or after their studies.

If they’re really good they get hired directly by Metsola, the EP President revealed. She also went on to explain that the Maltese work ethic is immensely praised and cherished, given that the Maltese now run an institution of around 11,00 people.
