Chris Eriksen confirms he is doing well in hospital and cheering on his team

After collapsing during his team’s opening Euro 2020 match against Finland due to cardiac arrest, Danish soccer player Christian Eriksen posted to Instagram to assure everyone he is doing well under the given circumstances. Eriksen thanked everyone from around the world who supported him during such trying times.

The player revealed he still has some medical examinations to go through, but he is doing fine overall. He concluded his message by saying that he will cheer on the boys on the Denmark team in the next matches.

The incident struck the hearts of many around the globe. The image of his teammates forming a chain around Eriksen as medics attempted to resuscitate the player became an iconic heartfelt image for 2021. We wish Eriksen a full and speedy recovery!

Malta has more than 60% of its adult fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. With 78%, having received at least one dose, Malta was one of the first countries to reach herd immunity after 70% of was vaccinated with at least one dose by May 24th 2021.

Authorities urge more of the public to receive their vaccination, with plans to start vaccinating 12 and 15-year-olds in the works. As of writing this article, 589,507 doses were administered by June 14th 2021. 340,028 of these were 1st doses.

Walking into a press conference on Monday, Portugal striker Cristiano Ronaldo decided to remove Coca-Cola bottles placed in front of him. He promptly lifted up a water bottle, urging everyone to drink water instead of the soft drink. The 36-year-old has been quite open about his dislike for junk food, confirming that he is even tough on his son when he eats crisps and drinks such drinks.

Many were baffled by Ronaldo removing the drinks, including coach Fernando Santos. The incident occurred ahead of Portugal’s opening defence in the UEFA Euro Championships against Hungary on Tuesday night.

There are also reports of a contract for Bugeja between Sassuolo and Juventus reaching advanced stages. The future is immensely bright for the 17-year-old wonder kid. Malta couldn’t be more proud!
