Chayenne Riolo has been elected as the Vice Chair of the European Democratic Students (EDS), Europe’s largest student political organisation.
Representing over 600,000 students across 30 European states, the EDS is the youth wing of the centre-right European People’s Party (EPP). The 22-year-old Maltese youth, nominated by the Maltese student organisation SDM, expressed her gratitude and excitement on Instagram following her election, thanking SDM for their nomination and support, and acknowledging the efforts of her predecessors and colleagues.
“Honoured to have been elected Vice Chair of the largest student political organisation in Europe @edsnet.eu. Thank you @sdm_malta for presenting my nomination and for your constant support,” Riolo posted. Riolo stated that she looks forward to working with the new team under Chairman Michele Sismondini and thanked outgoing Chairman Beppe Galea for his encouragement and dedication.
Riolo’s involvement with SDM since the age of 15 has been a significant part of her journey, and she hopes to continue the legacy of Maltese leadership within the EDS.
Kudos Chayenne!
