Charmaine Gauci insists there is no link between blood clots and AstraZeneca vaccine
Apr 12 2021 Share

The Superintendent of Public Health Charmaine Gauci stated on a TVAM interview this morning that there is no case of blood clots directly linked to the AstraZeneca vaccine up to date. Despite having received two reports, one about AstraZeneca and another about Pfizer, she stated that investigations yielded no results which indicated a causal link.

She added that there is more risk of developing blood clots from oral contraception, with one out of 2000 women developing the blood clots in this manner. Despite herd immunity being a very real possibility very soon, the Superintendent emphasised the importance of caution when it comes to COVID-19 and thus, adhering to health measures is still vital.
