Of course we’re referring to the yearly Freshers Week water fight, where members of The European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) went head to head with Society of Architecture and Civil Engineering Students Malta (SACES) for a chaotic round of water fighting.

With bowsers turning back and forth, Malta’s future architects and lawyers met a few hours before the water fight for pre-drinks before they marched to Vjal Tessie to cool off before an intense scholastic year.

While being a common occurrence worldwide, this species of jellyfish is rarely seen in Maltese waters.

The Aurelia Sp. is reportedly innocuous, which means that it does not cause harm upon contact.

Recognised by its four, horseshoe-shaped gonads, the moon jellyfish sighting is part of the marine biologists ‘Spot the Jellyfish’ citizen science campaign. Anyone spotting these creatures is urged to photograph and report their findings whilst also maintaining the sanctity of the sea creatures’ homes.

New Speed Camera Installed in Tumas Chetcuti Road, Attard

New Speed Camera Installed in Tumas Chetcuti Road, Attard
Oct 6 2023 Share

A brand new speed camera has been installed in Tumas Chetcuti Road with a maximum of 60 kilometres per hour from the Imrieħel Bypass towards Rabat.

Drivers have been advised to adhere to the velocity of 60 kilometres per hour, which is 20km/h under the national velocity limit of 80km/h.

A number of street signs closer to the signs have also been installed to warn drivers, but it is so far unknown when the camera will start to become operational.

This new installation follows months of pressure and requests from the Attard Local Council and frequenters of the area after multiple road accidents took place in that same road.

Drivers stay safe!
