Stephen Grey, special correspondent at Reuters, took to Twitter to reveal letters signed by Daphne Caruana Galizia bombers Albert and George DeGiorgio asking for a Presidential pardon and immunity in order to testify what they know of politicians’ involvement.

Vince Muscat, the third accused, has previously plead guilty to the crime in return for a reduced sentence.

This means that if the Degiorgio brothers are granted a Presidential Pardon and immunity, they will reveal the identity of the sitting minister alleged to be involved in a major crime.

Bernie Sanders tells Elon Musk to focus on Earth

Bernie Sanders tells Elon Musk to focus on Earth

Elon Musk, notorious for his input into space travel and technological innovation, has received criticism from Bernie Sanders who points out that Musk should put his focus back on planet Earth and ‘pay more taxes.’ Sanders took to Twitter to claim that currently in America, two men – Musk and Jeff Bezos – own more wealth than the bottom 40% of Americans, calling it greedy, immoral and unsustainable.

Amongst other defenders, Musk responded by stating that he is accumulating wealth to ‘help make life multi planetary and extend the light of consciousness to the stars.’ The interactions continued with Sanders responding that despite space travel being exciting, focusing on Earth to create a tax system to avoid starvation, homelessness and inequality is much more vital.

Peppi Azzopardi explains why Joseph Muscat would have been re-elected

Writing on a blog on Illum, Xarbank host Peppi Azzopardi explains why, had he not resigned, Joseph Muscat would have been re-elected along with Labour

Writing on a blog on Illum, Xarbank host Peppi Azzopardi explains why, had he not resigned, Joseph Muscat would have been re-elected along with Labour. He draws a comparison between buying a new car, wherein a buyer of a long time brand decides to switch to a new one after a long time of consideration. When the car is bought however, is starts to breakdown and one would not want to reveal to his co-workers and friends that the choice they made was wrong.

Azzopardi likens this to Joseph Muscat’s position in government, stating that those who voted him in office would want to deny that the wrong choice was made, despite the evident corruption. He also states that should Labour lose votes, it would not be Robert Abela’s fault, even though the current Prime Minister needs to be ‘more assertive’.

He pointed out that the plans and work on the environment are tangible since ‘even though difference is being made due to less emissions on our roads thanks to more efficient routes’, Malta’s green infrastructure is being given the required boost it deserves.
