Car catches fire in Mosta

A Peugeot 206 Cabriolet caught fire due to unknown reasons in Vjal Millbrae, Mosta this morning.

The fire department quickly arrived on the scene in order to assist and aid.

Kevin Hart to lead four more Netflix films after securing major deal

Superstar actor and comedian Kevin Hart has just locked in a huge deal with streaming giant Netflix which will see Hart star in, and produce, four more films in Netflix’s biggest deal since Adam Sandler’s four-film contract in January 2020.

This comes after Hart’s show Zero F**ks Given rose to the top of the platform’s comedy section and his films grossing more than $4 billion in the global box office.

Scott Stuber, Netflix’s head of original films stated how much of a pleasure it was to partner up with Kevin and commended the star on his enthusiasm and ability to attract audiences of different ages and tastes.

Gavin Gulia resigns shortly after he is elected

Gavin Gulia has just resigned from Parliament, only shortly after being elected through a casual election and being sworn in.

Dr. Gulia stated that he was asked to remain as the Malta Tourism Authority’s chairman and pilot their strategic plan for 2020, when he then resigned from the House.

The Labour MP’s resignation means that the Government may fill his vacant seat through co-option.

General Workers’ Union proposes that bankers be considered front-liners and get vaccinated earlier

The General Workers’ Union (GWU) Secretary for Professionals, Finance and Services Section has been in talks with the Bankers Association regarding the consideration of proposing an earlier COVID-19 vaccination for its workers.

The union has stated that these workers are in contact with people all the time and put themselves and their family at risk due to exposure within the workplace.

”Therefore, the GWU has proposed that they too be considered front-liners and should be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a priority.”
