Buffon to leave Juventus at season’s end

The end of the season will see the departure of Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon. The 43-year-old confirmed his departure saying; ‘We have reached the end of a cycle.’ The player returned to Turin in July 2019 following a year with Paris Saint-Germain. His contract expires in June and this is his sign to retire from the team.

Buffon feels his future is ‘clear and defined.’ Calling his experience with Juventus beautiful, the journey is set to end this year. He stated that he gave everything for Juve and received everything back, with not much more to be done. The goalkeeper kept three clean sheets in seven Serie A games throughout the most recent term and helped the team to get to Coppa Italia Final, which seems to be his last match with the club on 19th of May.

16-year-old Luana Borg reported missing

Luana Borg, a 16-year-old teen, has been reported to the police as missing. When she was last spotted, she allegedly wore a grey jacket, black pants and a burqa in order not to be recognised. Authorities ask anyone who has any information concerning Luana to contact the police on 21224001/119.

This is not the first time Luana Borg was reported missing; with incidents in 2019, 2020 and earlier this year.

Seth Rogen shocks fans with clean-shaven look

Actor and director Seth Rogen has always been known for his iconic beard, but the latest Instagram photo he uploaded blew everyone’s minds. Starring in a new series ‘Pam and Tommy’, which is an upcoming Hulu series about Baywatch star Pamela Anderson and her husband Tommy Lee’s scandal after their sex tape was leaked. Rogen will be playing the sex tape thief and will be starring alongside Lily James and Sebastian Stan as Anderson and Tommy Lee.

6 COVID-19 cases registered with 15 recoveries

Malta has registered 6 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 1,600 swab tests, while 15 patients have recovered. No deaths were registered in the past 24 hours. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

As of Tuesday 11th May 2021, 386,760 vaccine doses were administered of which 265,361 were 1st doses. 123,843 people are currently fully vaccinated.

To date, Malta has registered 30,464 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 29,843 have recovered, 417 died and 204 are still active.
