‘Weapons confuse the discussion towards peace. I remain determined that our country keeps this message to push for dialogue.’

‘I might be the only person delivering this message today – but I feel it is my duty to do so.’

‘Does this mean that Ukraine must lose? No. But neither should it win at all costs, because we know that this will not happen.’

‘There are solutions, and in the past few hours, developments have emerged that are reopening the window for such an agreement.’

Abela was attending a special meeting to discuss Europe’s support to Ukraine as Russia continues its invasion.
