The final episode of the final season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine has officially aired, titled ‘The Last Day.’ The series quickly became a fan favourite after the cast’s bubbly and entertaining personalities captured the hearts of many viewers. The cop centred comedy survived cancellation back in 2018, with NBC giving it an extra three seasons. But the curtains have finally closed for Jake Peralta and the nine-nine gang as the actors share their farewells all over social media.

All cast members personalised a good-bye message which was then posted to Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s official Instagram page. Rotten Tomatoes’ current rating for the final season is a perfect 100% score – no small feat for any sitcom. Writers also allegedly threw out scripts for season 8 following the Black Lives Matter resurgence following George Floyd’s murder. This earned the show a critical consensus of being able to ‘tackle big topics with poise.’
