Brazilian footballer Hulk expecting baby with ex-wife’s niece

Sep 20 2021 Share

Brazilian footballer Hulk has announced on his Instagram that he and his partner Camila Sousa are expecting a baby. The relationship went viral earlier in the year, as Camila is the niece of Hulk’s ex-wife Iran Sousa. Hulk and Iran’s marriage lasted for 12 years, with the couple co-parenting three children Ian, Thiago, and Alice.

It was reported that Hulk, real name Givanildo Vieira de Sousa, and Camila first got together in January of 2020 whilst Hulk was playing in China for Shanghai SIPG. The relationship was revealed to Camila’s family by Hulk himself. In an interview, his ex-wife Iran had this to say “It is deeply regretted that Mr Hulk, not content with ending a marriage of more than 12 years, he then did not respect the pain of the one who always devoted love, affection, respect and consideration to him – as well as his children, whose supreme interests should be preserved by their father. “

In the past, Hulk admitted that his marriage was an unhappy one, but refused affair allegations saying “I never had a relationship with Camila when I was married.” The Atletico Minero player will be hoping for a better relationship with Camila, for his sake and the baby. In his Instagram post he said “Today with a heart full of gratitude to God, I come to share with you that for the fourth time I am being blessed with another child” and “My heart overflows with so much happiness and I can only say thank you God.”

Postponed 2020/21 graduations to be held late 2021 and early 2022

Postponed 2020/21 graduations to be held late 2021 and early 2022
Sep 20 2021 Share

Following the cancellations of several graduation ceremonies for 2020/21 graduates, Kunsill Studenti Universitarji (KSU) issued a public statement on social media revealing that the ceremonies will in fact be held in celebration for all their hard work. KSU revealed that over the summer the organisation had been in constant contact with the University’s central administration as they attempted to determine if and how the graduation ceremonies can take place.

Public health officials were being constantly consulted to ensure that the regulations put in place are respected, making sure that the health and safety of all those present and involved is not compromised. However, the positive news was that the undergraduate ceremonies of both the 2020 and 2021 graduates should take place later on this year. As for post-graduates, ceremonies for both years will be taking place at the beginning of the next calendar year. The rush to buy a toga is on as hundreds of students whose hard work was not properly celebrated due to the pandemic finally get the chance to properly enjoy their graduation!

Messi refuses to shake manager’s hand as PSG narrowly beat Lyon

Sep 20 2021 Share

Yesterday night marked Messi’s first ever PSG home game against Lyon. Messi once again didn’t score but came very close to doing so, hitting the crossbar of a freekick and forcing a good save from Anthony Lopes. The game ended in a 2-1 win for PSG after a 93rd minute winner from Mauro Icardi gave the Parisians all three points. However, the highlight of the match was Messi refusing to shake Pochettino’s hand after being subbed off early.

The first half was very close but PSG got the more clear cut chances. Messi played quite well in the first half linking well with former Barcelona teammate Neymar and fellow Argentinian Di Maria. Messi was not playing in his usual right wing position but rather playing as an attacking midfielder behind Kylian Mbappe. The first half ended in a 0-0 stalemate.

The second half started better for Lyon, scoring in the 54th minute from a cool finish by Lucas Pacqueta. Their lead was only there for 12 minutes after suffering a penalty because of a foul on Neymar from young defender Malo Gusto. Neymar swiftly equalized the game from the spot and from than on it was a battle to see who would find the winner.

Whilst the match was getting more and more tense, Messi was subbed off in the 75th minute. He was clearly disappointed refusing to shake manager Pochettino’s hand. The game ended when Mauro Icardi managed to head in a Kylian Mbappe cross in the 93rd minute.

The Malta Chamber of Commerce has pushed for the government to enter consultation with stakeholders in regards to pharmacy opening hours. The chamber said the last it was consulted was around 18 months ago. This follows a reveal by Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne that health authorities were in advanced discussion with stakeholders to extend opening hours of pharmacies further into the afternoon on Sundays. The Chamber however claims that it has not been approached in recent months. It revealed that last it was consulted was in February of 2020, having received joint proposals which provide roster concepts for pharmacies on Sunday.

Following a post by this newsroom about Chris Fearne’s announcement, the public commented what seemed to be more expansive reforms to the matter. Some suggested that pharmacies remain open 24/7 with others even recommending having medicine sold in leading supermarkets just like in other countries. Many highlighted how illnesses don’t discriminate against time and location, and not having such access for everyone could endanger lives. What do you think?
