Box Jellyfish Spotted In Birzebbuga

Taking to social media, marine biologist Alan Deidun shared a video sent to him of a box jellyfish in Birżebbuġa.

He explained that, luckily, the local box jellyfish species (Carybdea marsupialis) is much less venomous than its deadly Australian counterpart (Chironex fleckeri).

Its mild sting is best treated through the use of vinegar, Deidun explained. He also highlighted how the box jellyfish has the best ‘eyesight’ amongst all jellyfish, being able to hunt actively for other plankton at night’.

‘They occur in highest numbers in yacht marinas and ports and they are largely transparent during the day.’

BMW Reveal UNO Car Party

Mattel, AirConsole, and BMW Group are bringing the popular card game UNO to in-car gaming, debuting at gamescom 2024 in Cologne, Germany.

This comes after Mercedes-Benz announced plans to collaborate with Boosteroid to integrate the gaming app into its “MBUX Entertainment Package Plus’.

This innovative version, titled UNO® Car Party, will be available on over 500,000 BMW and MINI vehicles starting August 21, 2024, via the AirConsole platform.

This collaboration transforms UNO into a connected gaming experience within vehicles, allowing up to four players to participate using their personal devices while the car is stationary. The game aims to enhance in-car social interaction during road trips or pit stops.

AirConsole CEO Anthony Cliquot emphasized the unique gameplay that allows each player to privately view their cards on their phones while the main game is displayed on the car’s infotainment system.

Mattel’s Erika Winterholler noted that UNO’s simple yet engaging gameplay is “ideal for in-car entertainment.”

Maltese Team Maximum Lock Stunts Shines At British Show

The Maltese team, Maximum Lock, consisting of Clint Abela, Mark Galea, and Christian Bezzina, delivered an outstanding performance to an audience of 150,000 spectators at the Guernsey Motor Festival and The British Motor Show.

These three drivers proudly represented the Maltese Precision Driving Team, widely regarded as one of the best in Europe.

Their thrilling stunts and precision driving skills captivated the massive crowds, showcasing the high level of talent and expertise that the team is known for.

Joining them as special guests were renowned stunt driver Paul Swift and popular YouTuber Mark McCann, adding even more excitement to the events.

Over a span of four weeks, the team performed 21 adrenaline-pumping stunt shows, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

Looking ahead, the Maximum Lock team is set to participate in 14 international events by the end of 2024, continuing to demonstrate their exceptional driving prowess on the global stage.

RFK JR Drops Out To Endorse Donald Trump

American third party candidate, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has officially endorsed former President Donald Trump, marking the end of his independent bid for the presidency.

During a speech in Arizona, Kennedy criticized the Democratic Party, portraying both himself and Trump as targets of legal and political persecution. RFK whose dad and uncle were both high serving Democrat politicians is the first ever Kennedy to jump ship to the Republican Party.

Kennedy pointed to critical issues such as free speech and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine as key reasons behind his decision, asserting that Trump’s stance on these matters aligns closely with his own beliefs.

Despite facing criticism from members of his own family, Kennedy moved forward with the endorsement after several weeks of negotiations.

Significantly, Donald Trump Jr. and influential donor Omeed Malik played pivotal roles in securing Kennedy’s backing.

Kennedy also hinted at a potential role in a future Trump administration, where he would focus on addressing chronic disease by improving the nation’s food ingredients and quality, along with tackling other pressing public health issues.
