Bouncer & DJ Arrested In Paceville Drug Bust

The police arrested two men during a routine patrol in Paceville as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking.

Officers noticed a bouncer acting suspiciously outside a Paceville establishment. They followed him to a restroom where he was found holding four sachets of suspected cocaine and a card payment machine. Two others were in the room, one of whom was swiping a card.

The 21 year old Serbian bouncer was arrested on the spot. Investigations revealed the card reader allegedly belonged to the DJ playing at the venue, a 34 year old Libyan man, who was also arrested. A second card machine and empty sachets were found in his possession.

Police investigations are still ongoing.

Two Albanian Men Arrested Over String Of Home Robberies

Two Albanian men, aged 33 and 46, were arrested at the Malta International Airport in connection with a series of residential robberies across the island.

Police say the suspects are believed to be part of an international organised crime group and had fled Malta shortly after the thefts. They were caught upon returning to the country overnight between Thursday and Friday.

The suspects were being held at the Floriana lock-up and appeared in court today at 11:00am before Magistrate Dr Jean Paul Grech.

Investigations are still ongoing.
