Bill Gates; wealthy countries should move to 100% synthetic beef to prevent Climate Change

Microsoft’s Bill Gates has said that wealthy countries like the USA and the UK should start considering moving to 100% synthetic beef in order to combat climate change.

This would work because switching to vegan alternatives would help reduce greenhouse gasses which warm our planet’s environment.

Gates did say that poorer countries would have a hard time making the switch.

Dr Lawrence Gonzi opens up about Libyan plane incident in Malta, that happened 10 years ago

Dr Lawrence Gonzi was interviewed about the incident that happened 10 years ago regarding two Libyan planes that requested to land in Malta for safety reasons.

At the time Dr Lawrenxe Gonzi explained his place to Joseph Muscat and they both agreed that Gonzi was to make a decision and Muscat will support it without questioning it since it was a very difficult situation.

Joseph Muscat took to Facebook to confirm what Dr Lawrence Gonzi said and to clear the Labour Party’s name regarding some allegations made at the time.

130 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 134 recoveries

Malta has registered 130 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 2,660 swab tests, while 134 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

As of Saturday 20th February 2021, 63,308 vaccine doses were administered.

To date, Malta has registered 20,892 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 18,067 have recovered, 304 died and 2,521 are still active.

Miriam Dalli confirms floating wind farms to power all of Gozo

Energy Minister, Miriam Dalli has confirmed that plans are underway to build offshore wind farms with the capacity of powering all of Gozo.

This project is predicted to be able to cater to the need of all of Gozo’s energy as well as adding extra power to the national grid.

Dalli is working on this project in collaboration with Enemalta, the University of Malta, the Energy and Water Agency and foreign companies, one of which is Shanghai Electric.
