“Bħal Bniedem Għama”: Jonathan’s Song Of Struggle And New Hope

The Foundation for Social Welfare Services (FSWS) has shared Bħal Bniedem Għama (“Like a Blind Man”), a deeply heartfelt song written by Jonathan during his time serving a prison sentence.

The song reflects a period of profound solitude and personal struggle, shaped by Jonathan’s long-term battle with drug addiction. Through its lyrics, he expresses his journey from darkness and hardship towards hope and healing.

Jonathan’s path to recovery was significantly influenced by his involvement in the rehabilitation programme at Komunità Santa Marija. Supported by both structured care and the power of music, he rediscovered his voice and found renewed purpose and optimism for the future.

This inspiring story highlights the transformative impact of rehabilitation and creative expression in overcoming addiction and rebuilding lives.

The Crown’s Jared Harris Is Coming To Malta!

UK actor Jared Francis Harris, known for his role on the hit series The Crown as King George VI, is making his way to Malta for The Mediterrane Film Festival.

Harris is also known for his roles in 2019’’s Chernobyl’ and ‘Mad Men’, having accumulated a resounding film repertoire over his years in the industry.

For the former role, he bagged a BAFTA TV Award for Best Actor, and was even nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie.

Tributes Pour In For Late 6 Year Old Zaylen

Zaylen has been identified as the six year old boy who passed away after falling in a pool in Naxxar.

Police were alerted to Zaylen being missing when his family were their fields in the locality and noticed that the boy had wandered off.

After a search, a drone located the boy in a pool in a different residence. Despite efforts to save his life, Zaylen was pronounced deceased shortly after.

Rest in peace little angel. And condolences to all your loved ones.

AFM Air Wing Crew Takes Part In Exchange With Italian Air Force In Sardegna

A helicopter flight crew from the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) Air Wing recently took part in a crew exchange with the Italian Air Force’s 15th Wing, based at Decimomannu in Sardegna, Italy.

This collaborative activity forms part of the Italo-Maltese Bilateral Cooperation Plan, an ongoing initiative aimed at enhancing defence ties and operational interoperability between the two nations. The exchange involved joint training sessions focused on aviation operations, coordination procedures, and aircrew familiarisation.

Such engagements not only provide valuable training opportunities but also serve to strengthen the longstanding relationship between the AFM and the Italian Air Force.
