During the European People’s Party (EPP) Congress in Valencia, Partit Nazzjonalista (PN) Leader Bernard Grech delivered a call for a Europe rooted in hope, dignity, and service. Emphasising leadership through listening and action, Grech outlined the PN’s core political mission: to improve Work, Life, and Quality. He stressed the party’s commitment to better jobs, work-life balance, and practical responses to rising living costs.
Grech reflected on the PN’s strong performance in the last European Parliament elections, electing three MEPs, including Roberta Metsola, now President of the European Parliament. He praised her as a symbol of unity and courage across Europe. Warning against growing threats to democracy and rising trade tariffs, Grech highlighted their potential to harm workers, families, and businesses, urging a united approach to protect freedoms and the European market.
He insisted on the need for open, competitive markets and stronger cooperation—not protectionism. People, he noted, want honesty and real solutions, not empty promises.
Grech was joined in Valencia by senior PN figures and MEPs. He also held meetings with EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and German CDU leader Friedrich Merz. Meanwhile, PN’s Beppe Galea ensured Malta’s voice was heard in key EPP policy discussions and votes shaping the party’s future.
