ASCS consider FEMA blanket decision unjust but they are sure FEMA and student body will get to a resolution

Following a blanket decision taken by FEMA to fail every student from a particular test in a study unit which is 33% of the final mark due to a number of students who cheated, ASCS have voiced their opinion and shed some light about the happening.

A number of students were completely uninvolved in the cheating and ASCS argues that they should not be punished for something they did not do.

A new FEMA board has been appointed to reevaluate the situation and determine the best way forward.

Bernard Grech questions PM’s return to normality goal before May

Earlier today, Bernard Grech turned to Facebook to express a concern regarding Malta’s return to normality.

Minister for Health, Chris Fearne, said today that immunity from COVID-19 in Malta is planned to be reached by the end of summer directly contradicts Prime Minister, Robert Abela’s claim that we’ll go back to business as usual before May.

Fearne also said this morning that the general public will start to get vaccinated by the end of April of the beginning of May.

COVID-19 figures mark highest daily rise of cases since November and another 4 deaths

COVID-19 figures, today have confirmed another 158 new positive cases which is the highest reported number of daily cases since November.

The results came out of the 2,602 swab tests which were done during the past 24 hours.

Along with this rise in numbers, 4 more deaths have also been reported today.

74 people have recovered and this leaves Malta’s active cases at 1,702.

Owner of satirical page ‘Bis-Serjetà’ could be facing jail time

The owner of a Maltese satirical page called, ‘Bis-Serjetà’ could be facing jail time as well as a fine of €2,329.

This is because of a satirical meme directed towards Yorgen Fenech’s lawyers. The meme called out the 4 lawyers as mafia.

Just be nicer to mafiosi, guys. They're people too.
