Miriana Conte shined this past weekend, winning the Malta Eurovision Song Contest with her iconic song ‘KANT’.

Behind the creative process and the hard work were also a number of creatives and artists who put on a massive show – making sure that ‘KANT’ got the spectacle it deserved.

Among them was Steven Levi Vella, who celebrated the win by posting a picture of himself and Miriana and writing, ‘We did it again. Miriana Conte for Eurovision.’

Chloe Scicluna, who was also behind the creative process, wrote a heartfelt appreciation to Miriana and the rest of the team,

‘From trusting in me when I was 16 to winning the Eurovision in 2025 in a leotard and tights.’

‘Who would have thought we would get to this point? I would write a whole long paragraph, but you, the team and myself all know how much work this took and how many things we experienced on the way, yet we still pushed through.’

A group of Maltese students behind the page ZOB TO OSH are preparing for an ambitious overland journey, aiming to become the first Maltese to reach Mongolia by car. Their adventure, set to begin on 1st July, will take them across Europe and into the heart of Central Asia, following parts of the ancient Silk Road.

The trip kicks off at the ZOB metro station in Munich, Germany, before crossing several European countries, including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Greece, before reaching Istanbul. This first leg will serve as a test run before they take on the true challenge—navigating Asia Minor and pushing towards the vast Mongolian steppe.

Balancing studies with adventure, the students briefly paused preparations for exams but are now making their final push before departure. They acknowledge the fine line between bravery and recklessness but embrace the unpredictability of the journey. Throughout the trip, they plan to share updates, behind-the-scenes moments, and the highs and lows of their expedition.
