As technology continues to develop rapidly around the globe, hundreds of millions of manually-conducted jobs will continue to be affected by the boom.
During the PwC Malta Tech Week, a spokesperson for the Assurance, Tax and Advisory brand stated that technology like artificial intelligence, blockchain, virtual reality and augmented reality are at the forefront of most modern industries.
Such a phenomenon shines a light on the importance of technology and training oneself in such areas so as to remain relevant in the future.
That being said, it was also highlighted how no job existing today will fade into nothingness, but rather, will be affected by the aforementioned technology. An example of the unpredictable nature of technology would be the rapid rise of ChatGPT, a tool which no one expected to be as popular in mainstream culture a few months ago.
The PwC Tech Week is an entire week dedicated to the idea of technological innovation being used in all facets of business to ensure organisations are up-to-date and future-proof, and that insights and outcomes are more intelligent and quicker to define winning strategies.
Where do you think technology will take us in the next few months?
