Apple is preparing for major updates next year, including a “significantly thinner” iPhone to replace the Plus models in the iPhone 17 lineup. This new model is expected to represent an iPhone X-level leap in design. Although Apple hasn’t confirmed the final design, an aluminum chassis is favored.
The updated iPhone will likely feature an upgraded front-facing camera with smaller Face ID sensors and a centrally located rear camera to prevent finger interference. The screen size is expected to range between 6.12 and 6.69 inches.
Before this, Apple will release the iPhone 16 series, including an iPhone 16 Plus, which may be the last of its kind due to lackluster sales. This year’s iPhones will focus on AI advancements and may include touch-sensitive controls for improved camera use.
The new thinner iPhone is rumored to be more expensive than the iPhone Pro Max, which starts at $1,200. Despite design changes, Apple isn’t expected to return to smaller screen sizes. Stay tuned for further updates.
