Apple is adding 117 new emojis to iOS 14.2

Following Apple’s release of the iPhone and iOS 14.2, the company will introduce 117 additional emojis to your keyboard. 

The list celebrates inclusion and representation and includes women and men in suits and wedding veils, the transgender flag, bubble tea, roller skates and a boomerang, amongst others.

Professor Gauci also stated that families are the most common cluster, closely followed by workplace clusters, appealing to employers to promote teleworking.

Substantial amount of new cases from elderly homes

Based on what was said during Professor Charmaine Gauci’s press briefing earlier today, a considerable amount of emerging COVID-19 cases seem to be coming from homes for the elderly. 

Those who tested positive for COVID-19 are being transferred to the Good Samaritan facility as reports reveal that 51 resident and 14 staff members had tested positive. 

Professor Gauci also stated that families are the most common cluster, closely followed by workplace clusters, appealing to employers to promote teleworking.

Malta currently stands at 1,988 active cases and 73 deaths.

129 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 67 recoveries

Malta has registered 129 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 3,523 swab tests, while 67 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

Details on new active cases will be given by Prof. Charmaine Gauci during a press briefing at 12:30 on saħħa.

To date, Malta has registered 6,893 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 4,832 have recovered, 73 died and 1,988 are still active.

Joe Giglio to contest 9th and 10th district on PN ticket

Criminal lawyer Joe Giglio has revealed that he will be contesting the ninth and tenth district as a Nationalist Party candidate. Giglio promises to serve with “humility and determination” as he took to Facebook live to break the news.

The criminal lawyer was once considered to be a potential challenger to former PN leader Adrian Delia for the post of Nationalist Party leader. 

PN figures like Mark Anthony Sammut, Justin Schembri, Ivan Castillo and more also announced their candidature.
