Another group of immigrants relocated to Germany

Feb 27 2021 Share
An immigrant group with a majority of women and children were relocated to Germany as part of a European Union initiative to relocate irregular immigrants from Malta.

The Interior Minister claimed that Malta is still the country effected most by irregular immigration when compared to the population and size of our country. Relocation, he claimed, is one of the most effective means of easing the pressure upon immigration sites and systems.

The countries who will be receiving the immigrants will be responsible of determining whether they are eligible for protection. Despite recent months seeing a decrease of irregular immigrant entry, the Minister says that the government still worked on relocations or returns to countries of origin. This relocation was possible through coordination with National Security, Law Enforcement and German authorities.

Lady Gaga’s stolen dogs safely recovered

Feb 27 2021 Share

After the shocking news hit that two of Lady Gaga’s dogs were stolen at gun point, resulting in her dog-walker Ryan Fischer being shot, Los Angeles police have announced that the French bulldogs were safely recovered. The woman who returned them seemed to be unassociated with the attack which happened last Wednesday.

Gaga is recently filming in Rome and thus her representative and detectives had to confirm the dogs’ identities at the LAPD’s Olympic Community Police Station. A video surfaced showing a white sedan pulling up and two men wrestling with Fischer before revealing the weapon and shooting. Gaga thanks Fischer for risking his life to fight for her family and repeated her offer of $500,000 with no questions asked.

Nike’s self-tying shoe coming to Malta

Feb 27 2021 Share

Nike is now boasting an innovative shoe that, with a simple Siri or Google Voice shortcut, can customise itself to fit the wearer perfectly – the Nike Adapt Automax. The Nike App allows two variant fits: one suitable for energetic activity and another for a more laidback context. Customisable modes are also available for creation through the app.

The shoe also allows for 13 iconic brand colours designed to fit any particular style, and that does not include the low-key look which one can achieve by simply turning off the lights all from your watch or phone. Charging the technology is as easy as placing the shoe itself on an accompanying mat. Should you find yourself outside, the shoes are still able to unlace. The new Nike Adapt Automax will be coming to Malta soon through Urban Jungle.

Here’s why Billie Eilish didn’t want to work with Justin Bieber

Feb 26 2021 Share

Billie Eilish’s reason for not wanting to work with the Canadian pop-sensation under any circumstance may surprise you.

As the documentary ‘The World’s A Little Blurry’ is released to the public, Bieber appears in various contexts in the film. Billie reveals why she couldn’t be in Bieber’s presence or even hug him.

As it turns out, Billie was head over heels infatuated with Bieber. She expressed that she would get worried if she ever got a boyfriend because she would love Bieber more than him, something she couldn’t handle.

Going from Bieber fan to having him as a colleague was immensely awkward for Eilish, but the collaboration eventually happened and the two stars seem to have hit it off as really close mates.
