This year’s edition of the national event “Walk with the President” will take place on Sunday, November 17, with participants walking from the Sant’Anton Palace to the President’s Palace in St. George’s Square, Valletta.
Upon arrival in Valletta, there will be a variety of family-friendly activities in St. George’s Square, including games for children, food, drinks, entertainment, and music.
Details of this year’s event were announced during a press conference led by President Myriam Spiteri Debono, joined by Minister for Education, Sports, Youth, Research, and Innovation Clifton Grima, Shadow Minister David Agius, Enemed’s Executive Chairman Kevin Chircop, and Malta Community Chest Fund Chairperson Sina Bugeja.
In her speech, President Spiteri Debono urged the public to attend, highlighting how supporting the event strengthens the community through the Malta Community Chest Fund, which provides vital assistance to those in need. She added, “Suffering calls for compassion and relief.”
The President thanked the Malta Police Force, the Armed Forces of Malta, and key sponsors, including Enemed, in collaboration with SportMalta under the Ministry for Sports, as well as the Local Councils Association.
Participants can make a €10 donation to the Malta Community Chest Fund and will receive a commemorative t-shirt. These can be collected from Local Councils across Malta and Gozo, the Malta Community Chest Fund offices in Valletta, or Eurosport locations.
