The Animal Honors Awards took place once again, shining a spotlight on the unwavering commitment of volunteers and professionals dedicated to animal protection and rights in our country. The event, held yesterday evening, recognized various animals and individuals championing these causes.
Throughout the summer, the public was invited to nominate and vote across twelve categories, which included six focused on animal achievements and five celebrating the efforts of people working in animal rights. Anton Refalo announced that, in celebration of World Animal Day, funds were donated to multiple animal sanctuaries, made possible by the overwhelming generosity shown during the “A Night at the Palace” concert.
Lydia Abela expressed gratitude to the volunteers in the sanctuaries for their daily contributions to animal welfare. Alicia Bugeja echoed these sentiments, celebrating the heartfelt dedication of those working for animal rights. The evening served as a powerful reminder of the collective effort involved in advocating for animal protection, honoring the individuals and animals that inspire change every day.
