Angelina Mango triumphed at the 74th Festival di Sanremo with her captivating song “La noia,” securing her place in the event’s history.
Born on April 10, 2001, in Maratea, Italy, Mango’s musical journey began in her childhood, influenced by her musician parents. After relocating to Milan, she honed her skills in music, mastering instruments like the guitar and piano while forming a band with her brother.
Her career took flight in 2020 with her debut single “Va tutto bene” and EP “Monolocale,” followed by notable performances and tours in 2021.
Despite not making the cut in the Sanremo Giovani stage, Mango’s perseverance paid off in subsequent years. Signing with Sony Music, she collaborated with renowned producers, achieving commercial success with hits like “Ci pensiamo domani” and “Che t’o dico a fa’.”
In 2024, Mango’s victory at Sanremo paved the way for a potential representation at Eurovision 2024 in Malmö.
The decision to accept this opportunity rests with Mango, with the Italian broadcaster RAI poised to select an alternative if she declines. The announcement is anticipated at a forthcoming press conference, marking another milestone in Mango’s flourishing career.
