All OK with Bolt Apps: No cyber crime took place
Apr 21 2023 Share

After the rumour that Bolt and Bolt Food apps had been hacked spread around local social media like wildfire, this newsroom reached out to the company in question to confirm.

Bolt have informed this newsroom that the hacking did not take place and that Bolt does not have any credentials to access anyone’s offline or online bank accounts.

‘Additionally, as of today no one has reached out to us that they have been hacked’ the company confirmed.

Bolt operations are working as they should, communications informed MaltaDaily, and that they consider the rumours to be of a malicious nature.

Bolt also highlighted that it reserves the right to take all legal and judicial action necessary to protect its rights and interests at law in connection with this matter and any defamatory publication.

The rumour led to many people deleting their card details as well as the applications themselves from the phone. Were you warned of the cyberattack?

It is Queen Elizabeth’s first birthday since having passed away

It is Queen Elizabeth's first birthday since having passed away
Apr 21 2023 Share

The world was shocked last September, 2023 after Queen Elizabeth II, the longest serving UK monarch, passed away at the age of 96.

Today, the 21st of April 2023, marks the first birthday the Queen would have celebrated since having passed away.

Queen Elizabeth was queen regnant of 32 sovereign states during her lifetime and was the longest verified reign of any female head of state in history.

She was succeeded by her eldest son Charles III, who became the oldest person to accede to the British throne at the age of 73. He was also, quite by default, the longest serving heir apparent and Prince of Wales in British history. His coronation will be taking place on May 6th 2023.

Since the queen’s passing, the royal family has been once again at the centre of media attention. Most notably, Prince Harry’s book ‘Spare’ revealed and alleged various details from within the royal family.

Interest in the royal family also somewhat spiked this past year, with series like ‘The Crown’ highlighting more of Queen Elizabeth’s life.

Complete T-Rex skeleton sells for $8 million at auction

Complete T-Rex skeleton sells for $8 million at auction
Apr 21 2023 Share

Someone has just bought a 300-bone $8 million Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton at an auction – talk about the perfect house greeting statue.

The dinosaur skeleton measures 11.6 metres in length and 3.9 metres in height and is posed in the classic open mouth stance we are all familiar with (if you’ve watched the likes of ‘Night at the Museum’, that is).

The dinosaur was sold at Koller Auktionen, Zurich, and has been nicknamed Trinity. This was the first time in Europe this has happened, and only the third time worldwide.

However, it was revealed that despite being sold to a private collector, the dinosaur will still be on public display. So there won’t have to be any house renovations to fit this big boy in.

The dinosaur is made up of specimens which were dug up at three sites in the United States, so it’s technically three T-Rex’s all compiled into one.

T-Rex’s roamed the Earth around 65 million years ago, with the other auctioned and sold dinosaurs named Sue, Stan and Big John.
