Alex Borg has stuck to a yearly tradition he’s engaged in by visiting Pupu’s Bar to play along with a band there during the Carnival Celebrations in Nadur.
The PN MP was filmed smiling and playing along as other traditional musicians played joyous tunes for everyone around them.

Following high-level discussions with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola has called for increased defence investment across Europe.
In a Facebook post on Monday evening, Metsola wrote:
“At this critical moment in history, Europe must invest more on defence. It’s time to walk the talk, and our commitment needs to match the level of threat we are facing.”
Her comments come at a pivotal moment, as concerns over Russia’s actions continue to shape the geopolitical landscape.
Metsola highlighted that the coming weeks would be crucial in determining the future stability of the continent, with the war in Ukraine remaining a top priority in discussions with NATO.
NATO, a military alliance founded after World War II, originally included 12 countries and has since expanded to 32 members. While the United States has historically played a dominant role in the alliance, its long-term commitment has come into question.
Former President Donald Trump has repeatedly criticised European members for insufficient defence spending and has even suggested the U.S. could withdraw unless financial contributions increase.
Rutte has also advocated for European nations to raise their defence budgets, echoing similar calls from other NATO leaders. Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to push for NATO membership, though U.S. officials have cast doubt on the feasibility of this goal in the near future.
Although Malta is not a NATO member, Prime Minister Robert Abela recently suggested the country should reassess its approach to neutrality and consider increasing defence spending.

The Malta Records announced a brand new record related to Malta’s Carnival, with the presentation taking place outside Castille following a dance performance by the company.
The ‘Beraq One Aim Carnival Company’ became the only Maltese Carnival Company which in two consecutive years transported a float from Gozo to Malta and managed to win first place in Section D.
For the second year in a row in 2025, the company was once again the only one in Section C that transported a competitive float from Gozo to Malta.
‘The record will continue to be broken every time that the company wins the category and it climbs the sections, i.e. Section B and Section A’.
‘The record will continue to be broken by the same company unless others start from the beginning and reach the same milestone.’

Kimberly Zammit finished her MRI and received first direct treatment for cancer. Kimberly Zammit, a 22-year-old mother who discovered she had cancer while pregnant with her daughter, who is now three years old, arrived in Germany yesterday for an MRI to begin her treatment process at a private hospital.
The Deputy Mayor of Birżebbuġa, Josette Busuttil, revealed this, emphasising that with courage and many prayers, “the Maltese people are behind you.”
Busuttil wrote on Facebook that Kimberly had received the first treatment in this process.
Zammit has a tumor in her liver, pancreas, and hands, and in a recent program by Andrew Azzopardi on RTK103, she said she would take this last chance and try to heal with treatment at a private hospital.
From Frankfurt, Kimberly stated, “The day has come. I’ve reached where I needed to be.”
In an interview with Andrew Azzopardi, Kimberly Zammit explained that each treatment at the German hospital costs €3,900, and thus, in the past weeks, she asked for the support of the Maltese and Gozitan people.
While thanking the Maltese and Gozitan people for their generosity, Kimberly asked the Lord to keep His hands on her so that everything goes well.
In an interview with Andrew Azzopardi, Kimberly Zammit explained that each treatment at the German hospital had cost €3,900.
Over the past few weeks, she had sought the support of the Maltese and Gozitan people.
It was noted that the treatment had already been administered to other patients, some of whom had experienced positive results.
Kimberly concluded by saying, “I am doing this not for myself, but for my daughter.”
