PN Leads Labour by 12,000 Votes Despite Grech Trailing Abela in Latest Survey

PN Leads Labour by 12,000 Votes Despite Grech Trailing Abela in Latest Survey
Sep 29 2024 Share

The Nationalist Party (PN) holds a 12,000-vote lead over the Labour Party (PL), according to a new MaltaToday survey.

The PN has garnered the support of 48.2% of the electorate, maintaining a 4.4-point advantage over the PL, which stands at 43.8%. This survey, the first since June’s European election, suggests a shift in voter sentiment as the PN continues to gain momentum, despite internal challenges within Labour.

Interestingly, the PN’s lead comes despite its leader, Bernard Grech, trailing Prime Minister Robert Abela by 16 points in MaltaToday’s Trust Barometer, which measures public trust in leaders to run the country. While Grech’s personal ratings lag, the PN has benefitted from a higher voter retention rate compared to Labour, as well as gains among non-voters and even some former Labour supporters.

The survey indicates a 75.7% projected voter turnout, which would be the lowest in any Maltese general election since 1950. Labour’s struggles appear linked to a higher abstention rate, with many of its former supporters choosing not to vote. If these trends persist, the PN could further erode Labour’s previous dominance, significantly narrowing the gap from the 2022 general election.

SkinDuo: A Revolutionary Probiotic Skin Serum Done in Malta

SkinDuo: A Revolutionary Probiotic Skin Serum Done in Malta
Sep 29 2024 Share

In a groundbreaking development for skincare and health, The BioArte has introduced SkinDuo™, the first product to incorporate real, live probiotics—not just lysates or ferments—into its formulation. This innovative two-pronged approach includes both a topical mono-dose serum and a food supplement designed to address the gut-skin axis, a connection extensively studied and linked to numerous skin conditions, including acne. SkinDuorepresents a significant shift in the way we approach skin and gut health, with the potential to revolutionize treatments for imbalanced skin.

The Gut-Skin Connection

It has long been established that gut health plays a critical role in skin conditions. When the gut experiences dysbiosis—an imbalance between beneficial and harmful bacteria—it can lead to gastrointestinal dysfunction, which triggers local and systemic inflammation. This inflammation can affect the skin, contributing to issues like acne. The SkinDuo™ formula was developed with this in mind, focusing on both gut and skin restoration to promote overall balance and well-being.

Real Probiotics for Real Results

Unlike many skincare products that use inactive bacterial components such as lysates or ferments, SkinDuo™ includes live probiotics. The topical serum features a specific strain of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum, which is active on the skin and helps restore balance in the skin’s microbiome. This approach is a significant innovation in the skincare world, offering tangible results for individuals with acne and other skin conditions caused by microbial imbalance.

Dr. Manuele Biazzo, CEO of The BioArte, emphasizes the significance of this product:

SkinDuo™ brings years of microbiome research into a practical, beneficial product for people suffering from skin imbalances. It’s the result of significant scientific advancements made by the microbiome research community, now available to everyone.’

Targeting Acne at its Source

SkinDuo™ is specifically designed to target acne, a condition often influenced by both gut and skin microbial imbalances. The live strain of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum works by:
– Reducing local inflammation: By minimizing the production of pro-inflammatory molecules, the skin experiences less irritation.
– Controlling sebum production: It regulates oil production, a key factor in the development of acne.
– Competing with harmful bacteria: The probiotic competes with Propionibacterium acnes IA, the bacteria responsible for acne, limiting its ability to colonize hair follicles.

Gut Health for Better Skin

The oral probiotic supplement included in SkinDuo™ plays a crucial role in enhancing the intestinal epithelial barrier. This barrier is essential for maintaining gut integrity and preventing the spread of harmful bacteria that contribute to systemic inflammation, which can exacerbate skin conditions. By addressing gut health, SkinDuo™ provides a holistic solution to skin issues, ensuring the skin can heal from within.

A Game-Changer for Skincare

SkinDuo™ is not just another skincare product—it’s an innovative, scientifically-backed solution for individuals struggling with acne and other skin conditions linked to gut health. With its unique combination of live probiotics in both topical and oral forms, it offers an effective, natural way to restore skin balance and promote overall health and yes, at a very competitive price.

If you’re looking for a comprehensive approach to treating imbalanced skin and gut health, SkinDuo™ is the answer. Experience the future of skincare with live probiotics and discover healthier, clearer skin.
