Passengers on an Air Malta flight to Madrid experienced a delay of about 90 minutes when a fellow traveler tried to bring a bird on board.
The incident occurred on Flight KM586, according to a passenger who was onboard the flight, and who communicated with Malta Daily when the incident was taking place.
Sources claim that the passenger were being urged to exit the aircraft after the captain refused to fly with the bird in the cabin.
Eventually, the passenger relented and left the airplane, and the flight, which had been scheduled to depart at 6:55am, took off just before8:30 am.
According to Air Malta Terms & Conditions – only small cats and dogs are allowed, as long as they fit comfortably in their carrier and do not block passage to the main aisle of the aircraft.
