Aidan releases official ‘Reġina’ track after surprise Eurovision performance

Only one day after the winner of Malta’s Eurovision Song Contest was announced, this time around being ‘The Busker’, Aidan released his official track Reġina.

Aidan was set to compete with the track in the competition, but was disqualified for reportedly breaking the regulations of the competition to promote his song after qualifying for the competition.

Despite this, Aidan still performed during the finale of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, albeit without being able to sing the track he was set to compete with.

Italian influencer takes aim at patriarchy with 4 different gowns

Chiara Ferragni, an Italian social media influencer, just took a shot against the patriarchy through her four different dresses she donned at the Sanremo Music Festival in Italy.

As co-host, she wore four different dresses designed by Dior’s creative director Grazia Chiuri, each with a strong message about breaking gender stereotypes and women’s rights.

The four dresses were called The Shameless Dress, The Hate Dress, The Cage, and The Manifesto Dress.

The Shameless Dress was designed to shed light on women’s rights and bodies and how they are still being discussed and considered questionable whereas the Hate Dress was inspired by the criticisms directed towards Ferragni and was embroidered with black pearls on a white peplos.

The Manifesto Dress was designed to bring a social message to the popular stage and was inspired by the work of Claire Fontaine.

The Cage was meant to represent freeing new generations from gender stereotypes and was a jersey jumpsuit embroidered with rhinestones trapped in a tulle skirt.

These dresses received widespread recognition and support on social media, receiving over five million likes and hundreds of thousands of comments.

Stolen Toronto cars worth millions somehow end up in Malta

Malta has once again made international news after platform blogTO posted an article revealing that millions of dollars worth of stolen cars from Toronto somehow ended up in Malta.

A press release issued by York Regional Police on Friday revealed that sixty four vehicles stolen from residential driveways across the GTA somehow turned up ‘in Southern Europe.’

The York Regional Police Auto Cargo Theft Unit recovered dozens of the vehicles, which add up to a total of $3.5 million, which have since been sent back to Canada as part of project Majestic.

The vehicles were tracked down and found to have been located inside shipping containers ready to be sold illegally. In 2021, it was revealed that investigators identified a criminal syndicate responsible for stealing high-end vehicles, including everything from Lexus, Toyota and Honda.

Vehicles were driven to the Port of Montreal and finally loaded onto shops delivered to buyers in Africa and the UAE.

Between March 2021 and December 2022, over 70 vehicles were seized, with an added value of more than $4.5 million. Eighteen people have since been charged with more than 170 offences pertaining to these crimes.

One direction fans go wild after Harry Styles thanks former bandmates

Fans of One Direction went absolutely wild after Harry Styles gave a massive shout out to his former bandmates after completely sweeping the BRIT Awards at the O2 arena.

During his acceptance speech, the 29 year old singer thanked his mum for signing him up for X-Factor without him even knowing, saying that he literally would not there without here.

And, after also thanking his family, he dropped the bombshell of appreciation by thanking Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik, sending the crowd into absolute frenzy.

Styles won four awards during the night which meant that he dominated all four categories he was nominated in, which includes Artist of the Year.

He took awards for Album of the Year for Harry’s House, Song of the Year for ‘As It Was’ and Pop/R&B Act during the show.

Harry also gave a nod to a controversy which he caused after his Grammy Awards speech, when he said that ‘people like me’ don’t usually win such awards.

The comments, which he made whilst accepting the Album of the Year award, were met with a stir, leading him to acknowledge that he is ‘aware of his privilege’. He thus also dedicated the win to several female artists including Reyna, Florence Welch, Mabel and Becky Hill.
