Popular singer Aidan Cassar, who entered this year’s Malta Eurovision Song Contest with song ‘Reġina’, has just been disqualified from the competition. 

It was unveiled by TVM News that the PBS was notified by the Malta Eurovision Song Contest Team that Aidan has been disqualified from continuing to participate in the competition after breaking competition rules. 

Aidan was a crowd favourite, with song ‘Ritmu’ ending up as runner-up for the previous edition of the competition.

Kylie Jenner has been receiving massive criticism for wearing a faux ‘lion’s head’ to a fashion show this week. 

The youngest Kardashian wore a black dress accessories with a gigantic lion’s head as she attended the Schiaparelli SS23 runway show at the weekend. 

The 25-year-old took to Instagram, writing ‘BEAUTY AND THE BEAST’, explaining how she loved wearing the faux creation constructed by using manmade materials. “Beautiful beautiful”. 

Despite the lion’s head being fake, not everyone was all too keen about the fashion choice. Many took to the comets saying that animals ‘are not a fashion statement.’ 

‘What is the point, it doesn’t look good and it promotes animal cruelty’ said one commenter. Another said: ‘Even though it’s not real it’s still disturbing and in bad taste.’ 

One other commenter said: ‘This is highly inappropriate, prop or not this should never have been designed.’ Some did attempt to defend the fashion choice, pointing to the fact that this was faux.

Turkish media has shared what could have possibly been Pelin Kaya’s last photograph taken with her friends before she was killed on her 30th birthday. 

The photo was reportedly shared by Gamze Gökçe, one of Pelin’s friends, as they celebrated her birthday together. In the photo, Pelin could be seen posing happily with her friends as a slice of birthday cake with a single candle on it lay on the table. 

The cake was taken to the vigil site when many paid tribute to the late Pelin, with some family members attending the vigil alongside Maltese friends and personalities. 

This comes as Turkish media shares Pelin’s funeral, with family members commenting on the recent passing. Her father was quoted in saying how his world had been shattered, with the last time he saw Pelin being at the airport. 

Meanwhile, Jeremie Camilleri, the driver behind the brutal killing, was described by Turkish media as a psychopathic killer. Camilleri is currently pleading not guilty to the murder of Pelin as the court case continues.

After her body was repatriated back to Turkey following the horrific accident which took her life in Malta, Pelin Kaya was laid to rest back home amongst her loved ones. 

The Turkish media reported the scenes, quoting her father describing his last meeting with his daughter. He told media how the last time he said goodbye to Kaya was at the airport and how he had told her ‘goodbye’ 10 to 15 different times.

Turkish media described the killer, Jeremie Camilleri, as a ‘psychopathic killer’, and outlining of many paid tribute to the late Pelin in a vigil in Gżira. 

Other news rooms shared what could have possibly been Kaya’s last photograph with her friends before she was killed on her 30th birthday. Pelin worked as an interior designer, with her friend Gamze Gökçe sharing the photo they took an hour before her death on her social media account.
