AI creator suggests sea transportation as traffic solution

AI creator suggests sea transportation as traffic solution
May 9 2023 Share

Local AI creator @malta.ai might have just given us the solution to some of our persistent traffic problems: autonomous ferries.

Through AI generated images, the creator reimagined Maltese sea-line localities embracing ferries to get citizens to where they need to go.

This is not so outlandish to think about, having established a route between Malta and Gozo using ferries. But malta.ai is going one step further.

‘Using the latest in AI technology, these ferries can navigate themselves through the waterways, reducing the need for human operators and providing 24/7 service. Plus, they’re eco-friendly and can significantly reduce traffic congestion’ they explained.

This comes as Maltese roads reinvigorate the calls for better transportation due to massive traffic gridlocks in various localities, leading to some students even missing important examinations.

Do you think this would be a viable option to our current transportation issues?

20-year-old TikTok sensation Hasbulla Magomedov has reportedly been arrested after he and his pals were detained by cops for driving offences.

The Russian UFC fighter and a group of friends reportedly drove into a street and interfered with other drivers whilst celebrating a friend’s wedding.

Local reports claim that the group were taken into custody over administrative violations, with a video posted by Dagestan’s Internal Affairs Ministry detailing bits of what happened.

It shows a group of motors, with one seen carrying Hasbulla, blocking traffic and doing doughnuts on a main road. One of the cars is later seen with a large scratch along the side.

Following the news breaking, Hasbulla’s official Twitter account this evening posted: #FreeBulla.

An instagram post also apologised for their recklessness, saying: ‘We decided to hype a little bit. That won’t happen again, people we apologise. We had to answer for it a little bit. I wasn’t driving either.’

As per areas experiencing heavy traffic, the page reported Fgura, tal-Barrani, Birgu, St. Venera tunnels, Salini area and the Coast Road.

This comes after reports surfacing yesterday that some students making their way to their examination venues arrived either exactly on time or late.
