Adele Reveals ‘Big Break’ From Music

Jul 18 2024 Share

Global phenomenon Adele has revealed that after her Las Vegas and Munich shows, she will be taking a much deserved ‘big break’ from music.

Whilst in Munich preparing for her upcoming show, the star told German broadcaster ZDF, “My tank is quite empty at the minute,” and that “I don’t have any plans for new music at all,” and that she currently does not have any plans for new music.

All hope is not lost however as even though she admitted she will be taking a big break from music, her plan is to commit herself to other creative things for a little while, meaning fans could be seeing a whole new side of Adele through different creative means.

The star’s latest album was released in 2021, and she has spent the last two years performing a weekend residency in Las Vegas, recently reaching her 90th show at the 4,000-seat Caesar’s Palace.

The residency is set to conclude in November, and Adele mentioned that the experience has been emotionally draining.

Joe Biden Tests Positive for COVID-19

Jul 18 2024 Share

The White House stated that Mr. Biden is experiencing mild symptoms from the infection, including ‘general malaise.’ His press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, said that the president was vaccinated and boosted, yet tested positive for COVID-19 twice.

Biden was seen earlier visiting supporters in Las Vegas and speaking at an event. He cancelled a campaign speech later in the night. However, he was seen not wearing a mask as he boarded Air Force One.

The president planned to return to his home in Delaware, where he will self-isolate while carrying out ‘all of his duties fully,’ said his press secretary. Kevin O’Connor, the president’s doctor, said that he had shown upper respiratory symptoms such as a runny nose and a cough, and hence was given his first dose of Paxlovid.

Whilst he was well during his first event of the day, he tested positive later on. The president used X to show his gratitude for all the ‘well wishes’ and said that he would ‘work to get the job done for the American people’ while recovering.

In another post, his account stated, ‘I’m sick.’ He later replied to his own post saying, ‘… of Elon Musk and his rich buddies trying to buy this election. And if you agree, pitch in here.’ The tweet pointed to a donations portal.
