Are Halloween decorations damaging to kids?

Oct 29 2020 Share

Halloween is just around the corner and decorations are officially up to celebrate this holiday. While not everyone is as keen on the idea, some take this issue with Halloween very seriously.

Ashan Jeeawon, a councillor situated in East Sussex and also a property stylist, was told that his floating skeleton decorations for Halloween were causing mental health issues to kids.

Wanting to be democratic about it, a public vote was actually taken among the neighborhood in order to see who is in favour of his decorations and who is not. The majority were all in favour of them however the pot was still stirred and Jeeawon received a not so pleasant email.

“It is my belief that the Halloween celebrations are detrimental to the mental health of many people. In particular of children and the vulnerable.”

Jeeawon is an individual that loves to decorate his house for every big holiday, ranging from Christmas Day to Armistice Day. “Being a councillor, everything I do is to support my community.”

Are you a fan of Halloween?
