This afternoon, activists including members of Moviment Graffitti gathered outside the Maltese Parliament in Valletta to call for an end to the ongoing genocide in Gaza and to advocate for a free Palestine. The demonstration was marked by passionate speeches and symbolic displays of solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Moviment Graffitti shared a powerful message on social media, stating: “This afternoon we gathered once again outside the Maltese Parliament to call for an end to the genocide in Gaza and a free Palestine.” The post highlighted the situation in Rafah, a city currently experiencing intensified aggression from Israel. “Right now, Israel is intensifying its massacre in Rafah – a small city sheltering a million and a half Palestinians who had fled the genocidal aggression in the rest of Gaza.”
The activists expressed unwavering support for the Palestinian people and a strong condemnation of the international community’s role in the conflict. “Our disgust will remain towards countries such as the United States, Germany and Britain who have enabled the dispossession of Palestinians by Israel for 76 years, and are now supporting genocide.”
The rally in Valletta underscores the commitment of local activists to keep the plight of Palestinians in the global spotlight. With slogans like “FREE PALESTINE ,” they vowed to continue their advocacy until significant change is achieved.
