Yet another week of scorching heat for the Maltese islands

The Weather Page Malta reported that it is set to feel hotter once again across Malta and Gozo. With northwesterly winds fading away, the Sahara desert heat is returning to cook Malta’s temperatures. It will thankfully feel less hot than Malta’s previous record-breaking heatwave.

The temperature is still however set to feel as hot as 36 degrees Celsius by the weekend, fluctuating between 32 and 36 throughout. UV is set to remain at a constant UV 10.

The temperatures of course come with warnings to stay hydrated, avoid the sun’s peak times as much as possible and, with the advent of COVID-19, adhere to health regulations as much as possible whilst enjoying one’s summer.

As the feast of St. George is celebrated in Rabat Ghawdex, footage and snapshots show people convening in the town square to celebrate. However, adherence to COVID-19 regulations such as social distancing and mask-wearing can be noted as being breached in several instances.

With masks still being obligatory in groups larger than two unvaccinated individuals and in closed spaces, the celebrations show no sign of such adherence taking place as people gather underneath tents around the town square.

These past two months saw other such cases occurring, with celebrations in Hamrun following their premier league victory during the beginning of July and a similar incident in Haz-Zebbug last month.

Despite being known for rocking a whole host of different looks over the years, Brazilian football star Neymar Jr’s latest hairstyle has caused a massive online stir. Neymar is now rocking blond, dreadlock-like braids courtesy of hair extensions.

The brains behind the footballer’s restyling Nanda Burguesinha stated that the job took a whopping four hours to complete. She wrote to Instagram stating that Neymar came up with the look to preserve his authenticity. The online reaction was mixed, with some loving it and others completely perplexed.

Neymar is known for such adventures when it comes to hairstyles. His regular barber when he was still in Barcelona used to collect more than £1,400 per month just from doing the player’s hair.
