This Christmas season, the Hilltop Restaurant in Mellieha is showcasing a stunning nativity scene crafted entirely from unconventional materials, capturing the spirit of creativity and tradition.
The nativity, measuring 7.5 feet long and 2.5 feet wide, is a masterpiece designed and built by Ninu Cutajar. Constructed using materials such as seashells, cardboard, polystyrene, various adhesives, lighting, greenery, and figurines of all sizes, the nativity offers a breathtaking representation of the story of Christ’s birth.
The display rests on a sturdy, solid wood table built by Ivan Cutajar to support the nativity’s weight. The table is equipped with four wheels, allowing for effortless mobility. Proudly exhibited at the Hilltop Restaurant, owned by Brian and Rosanne Vella, this nativity is a central feature of their festive decorations and a tribute to local craftsmanship.
