As part of their electoral manifesto, the Labour Party has pledged to give Junior College a complete revamp to address various needs in the educational sector of today.
The party plans on revamping the college by creating an environment with better educational opportunities as well as ‘an active student life.’ Lecture rooms are to be modernised, along with the common rooms and lecture rooms, with new libraries being built.
Multi-purpose halls, multi-faith rooms, new art studios and recording facilities for theatre and performing arts are all part of Labour’s newest pledges. The party also pledged a student village which incorporates student organisations and Youth Hub.
In their manifesto, which was just released, the party said that the college must be able to offer programmes up to MQF level 5 which can take students to new career opportunities. This, the party said, would work hand in hand with the main focus of preparing youth for University.
