Speaking at a political rally, Prime Minister Robert Abela opened up about his experience in Brussels in regards to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Asked a question about his participation in the meeting of world leaders, Abela emphasised the bewilderment and surreal experience in discussing virtually with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
He also discussed worries of increases in exported products but promised that Malta will keep prices, including energy related, stable during the crisis.
Abela said that Malta will be delivering aid to Ukraine, mostly in the form of medicinal help to support the defensive effort. He also highlighted the importance of not labelling all Russian people as being in favour of the effort. Quite the contrary, said the Prime Minister, as he spoke about how many oppose the invasion of Ukraine.
