At least eight people were killed in Turkey and Greece after a strong earthquake struck the Aegean Sea on Friday afternoon, knocking down buildings and causing what the authorities called a “mini tsunami.”
Officials said that six people were killed in coastal areas in the western part of Turkey, while two teenagers died on the Greek island of Samos after a wall collapsed on them.

New Zealanders agreed to support euthanasia for terminally ill people – paving the way for the controversial measure to become law in 2021.
More than 65 per cent of the voters approved of the new legislation, according to the initial data of a poll declared by the country’s electoral commission on Friday. The final results of the vote on euthanasia will be announced on 6 November and the law will come into effect one year later.
