Two brand new fire engines for Civil Protection Department
Two new fire engines have just been inaugurated for the Civil Protection Department through an investment of more than €1.2 million.
The inauguration was announced via press conference by Minister for Home Affairs, National Security and Law Enforcement Byron Camilleri, who said that he feels immensely pleased with the investment going into the country’s protective forces.
He said that this investment is not simply one that targets the department itself but one that also protects the families living in Malta.
One of the vehicles is a BA tender, which will be mainly used to supply the necessary oxygen cylinders required numerous times during operations. Through this vehicle, the cylinders will be refilled right on spot thanks to the advanced technology the fire engine is equipped with.
The second vehicle is a lighting unit which will help the officers of the CPD light up the emergency zone. The vehicle will also supply several sanitary zones as well as drinking water provisions for when an operation takes a considerable amount of time.

Peppi Azzopardi with poetic tribute for his wife on 27th anniversary
Celebrating their 27th anniversary, former Xarabank host Peppi Azzopardi wrote a poetic tribute to his wife Mandy for their special occasion.
‘Smiling on our Anniversary’, he titled the poem, going on to recount how they met and the surprise people get whenever people found out the two were married.
The two met during a play and went on to date before Peppi proposed with the big question when she was still around 19 years old. ‘We then decided/ to belong to each other.’
‘She loves me for who we are / and for what we are not. / She loves me a whole lot. / How can I not love her?’

Maltese model and DJ Tiffany Pisani plays at UK’s Glastonbury Festival
Tiffany Pisani had the opportunity to show off her DJ skills at the prestigious Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts. The festival attracts thousands with each edition, with this year’s installation headlining Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar and Paul McCartney, with Diana Ross performing in the Legend’s slot.

The first festival edition since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Pisani reintroduced the massive event to audiences from all over the world by playing at the Glade Area at Glastonbury. She had previously played at the festival back in 2019 and her mark has been sealed as she was called on for another round of good vibes and music.
Pisani is a British-Maltese beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe Malta 2017. She was also announced as the winner of the cycle 6 of Britain’s Next Top Model back in October 2010. She also represented Malta in Miss Universe 2017.
