To mark the 125th anniversary of the Malta Football Association, the national team will wear a special commemorative kit in their upcoming match against Lithuania.

This limited-edition shirt pays tribute to the very first kits ever worn by the Maltese team, blending tradition with pride.

The release of this anniversary kit has sparked nostalgia, prompting a look back at some of the most iconic Malta kits over the past 125 years.

From the classic designs worn by Maltese greats like Carmel Busuttil, to the memorable strips of more recent icons such as Michael Mifsud and André Schembri, each kit holds a special place in the nation’s footballing history.

Even today, stars like Teddy Teuma and Haley Bugeja continue to represent Malta with distinction, wearing the red and white with pride.

These kits are more than just fabric, they symbolise the passion, legacy, and evolution of Maltese football.

Priest Guilty Of Breaching Sexual Boundaries With 15 Year Old Girl

The Archdiocese of Malta has expressed deep sadness and regret following the conviction, on appeal, of a diocesan priest found guilty of breaching sexual boundaries with a 15-year-old girl.

In a public statement, the Archdiocese issued an unreserved apology to the victim for the actions of its clergyman, whose name cannot be published due to a court order.

It emphasised that the case had already been referred to the Holy See, which ruled that the priest should be restricted from carrying out his ministry.

The Archdiocese thanked the Church’s Safeguarding Commission for its vital role in handling the case and supporting the victim, who was encouraged to report the abuse to the police.

This case, the Archdiocese noted, serves as a stark reminder of the importance of effective safeguarding structures, particularly in contexts where power imbalances exist.

The Commission continues to urge anyone who feels unsafe or witnesses inappropriate behaviour, especially in Church settings, to come forward.

While reaffirming its commitment to supporting the victim, the Archdiocese also stated that counselling and emotional support services will be extended to the priest involved.

Well, not exactly hands down as a doughnut doesn’t really have hands… or arms. You get the point.

The chocolate doughnut earned the highest amount of votes, with 62% of respondents preferring it over the jam doughnut (which racked 38% of the vote).

What do YOU prefer?
