American actor Austin Butler has been locked in to play Elvis Presley for Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming biopic about the King of Rock n’ Roll and he is being trained by a former olympic swimmer of Maltese origin.

Ryan Gambin is an Australian strength and conditioning coach who represented Malta in the men’s 100m butterfly at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and went on to become a personal trainer and fitness instructor in the Gold Coast after his retirement.

Luhrmann is reportedly going for the 1950’s Elvis look with Gambin training Butler particularly in hip movements and squats to mimic Presley’s movement, where Butler would reportedly bust out a random “Oh Baby” in the Elvis voice.
