Aug 13 2024 Share

85-year old Joseph Mallia is currently partaking in a one year walking marathon for local charity Puttinu Cares, despite being blind and being very physically challenged.

Mallia unfortunately lost his eyesight and has had various injuries over the years that are now causing him to walk with the aid of a walker.

Albeit, he is still challenging himself to the limit by walking unaided 1000 steps every day for 365 days on the roof of Annunziata Home where he now resides.

To help Joseph Mallia complete his goal, one could donate either by Revolut on number 77354366 or by bank transfer to HSBC IBAN – MT72MMEB44130000000013053061050.

Joseph moved into Dar l-Annunzjata two years ago after fracturing his pelvis. The idea of walking a marathon came to him during a physiotherapy session last year, following a separate hip fracture.

Disney Pixar has officially announced “Toy Story 5,” with Andrew Stanton returning to direct the next chapter in the beloved franchise. At D23, Stanton revealed that this instalment will see Woody and Buzz facing new challenges as they contend with the rise of electronics competing for children’s attention.

Disney CEO Bob Iger first confirmed the sequel in February 2023, alongside new entries in the “Frozen” and “Zootopia” series. Unlike the spinoff “Lightyear,” this sequel will focus on the core story of Woody and Buzz. Tim Allen, who had previously expressed reservations about continuing the series, later confirmed that he and Tom Hanks are on board for the new film. Allen noted that the new script has impressed him, raising hopes for a compelling continuation of the franchise.

“Toy Story 4,” released in 2019, was a major success, earning over $1 billion globally and receiving widespread acclaim. Despite initial concerns that a sequel might diminish the perfect conclusion of “Toy Story 3,” the fourth film was well-received. “Toy Story 5” is set to hit theaters on June 19, 2026.
