Malta has registered 84 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 3,044 swab tests, while 167 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

From yesterday’s cases; 16 cases were family members of previously known cases, 4 cases were contact of positive work colleagues, 7 cases were direct contacts with other positive cases, 2 cases were imported and 1 case was from social gatherings with other positive cases.

To date, Malta has registered 6,590 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 4,672 have recovered, 65 died and 1,853 are still active.

Retailers in the U.S. step up security ahead of expected protests

Retail stores across the United States have ramped up security measures ahead of protests expected to come from the results of the U.S. Presidential election. 

Chain stores such as CVS, Saks Fifth Avenue, Target and more have boarded up their windows to protect their outlets from any damages or looting. 

With the U.S. Presidential Election results looking to be much closer than expected and tension rising in the United States, we don’t know what to expect from the aftermath.

Diego Maradona in recovery following brain surgery

Argentinian football legend Diego Maradona successfully underwent surgery for a blood clot on the brain and is currently in recovery.

Maradona was initially diagnosed with dehydration and anaemia prior to finding the blood clot. 

He just turned 60 last Friday and is serving as head coach of Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata

Results delayed as U.S. election ‘too close to call’

Votes for the U.S. Presidential are currently being counted as Donald Trump edges closer than expected to Joe Biden.

It has been reported that results could take hours if not days with ‘more than a million ballots’ left to count. 

The race for President of the United States seems to be a lot closer than reported in recent polls while Donald Trump also vows to go to Supreme Court over an alleged challenge on democracy and ‘stolen election’.
