79 year old motorcyclist at risk of dying after accident

Today, at around 1300hrs, police were informed of an accident which had taken place in Dawret Ħal Għaxaq, Ħal Għaxaq.
Police convened immediately on site and preliminary investigations found that a crash had taken place between a Honda motorcycle driven by a 79-year-old motorcyclist resident of Ħal Għaxaq and a Mazda Demio driven by a 41-year-old woman resident of the same locality.A medical team was called on site and took the motorcyclist to Mater Dei. He was later certified as having suffered serious injuries.
Investigations are ongoing.
