78 Year Old Woman At Risk Of Dying After Being Hit By Car

Yesterday, at around 1700hrs, police were informed of a traffic accident which had taken place in Misraħ Karlu Diacono, Żejtun.
Police convened immediately on site and found through preliminary investigations that a 78 year old woman resident of Żejtun had been hit by a Toyota Hi-Ace driven by a 39 year old resident of Ħal Tarxien.A medical team was called on site and took the woman to Mater Dei Hospital for the required medical aid. She was later certified as having suffered serious injuries.
An inquiry has been opened and police are carrying out further investigations.
