Jul 10 2021 Share

Malta’s airport is set to welcome 1,1000 simultaneous arrivals this weekend and has asked for the public’s cooperation in the face of Malta’s current COVID-19 restrictions.

The airport’s queue situation has raised multiple concerns amongst travellers and locals alike, with the airport itself doing its utmost to handle the influx of passengers arriving in Malta in recent weeks.

In a recent statement, the Malta International Airport called upon travellers to have their documentation ready for verification upon arrival as to ease the process of travelling and to make it more efficient.

A form must be filled with passengers’ address of residence and address of their temporary residence in Malta along with flight details and presentation of a negative PCR test no later than 72 hours before arrival. Alternatively, a valid vaccine certificate can be presented, as approved by Malta’s Superintendence for Public Health.
